four mates who weren’t necessarily the strongest swimmers, but wanted to get out in the ocean more.  After a fine winter evening and one too many beverages at the hallowed Coach & Horses, we decided to meet at Clovelly on Friday morning for a couple of chilly laps, followed by coffee.  Partners, friends and friends of friends began joining, and after a few weeks we moved across the car park to Gordon’s Bay, where we now swim a lap of the bay with a cheeky excursion to the bombie.

Our small group of four has turned into a community of hundreds, but the culture has never changed.

We’re still a bunch of friends who like to be in the ocean.
